For all of you Angelenos that couldn't make the LAFF screenings, here's another chance -
we're having a fundraising screening this Sunday night at the Eagle Rock Center for the Arts.
Tickets are a whopping $15... There's only 100 seats available, so buy your tickets while they last...After the screening we'll have a Q&A with us filmmakers, and then celebrate all our good news. You can buy tickets right here on our website...

flora the elephant santuary is God's place for elephants, & i admire ms. beckley for her devotion. when i had money, i donated to them. but i think they got partilly wrong with flora. when she was at the zoo she didn't act out, & succesful mingled with the other elephants. i think part of her problem at the sancuary was zola, and her need to dominate. flora was a spoiled little girl who liked to have her way, but was able to get along in a group. having just 2 other girls with her and zola being one of them, flora didn't have enough other elephants to kinda share some of the bossiness with zola. i also think that after the 1st show of distructive anger, she thought david would be back to at least scolled her. when he didn't show up, and she had decided she didn't like it there, that's was a problem for her. david should have showed up and let her know he knew what was going on, but wasn't going to change things. i hope you pass this along to the santcuary. i will as soon as i can. my heart is with flora & david. |

Flora's MAJOR problem was, seperation anxiety!!!!! like most animals who have clung to a human...someone they trusted...THIS is what happens!! they act out! and for Carol to forbid David NOT to see her, WAS wrong!! she was OBVIOUSLY have when around him, and acted out when not! he could of helped ween her into mingling with other elaphants! VERY, VERY disappointed in the way they handled this!! it's very hard to train an animal to do 1 thing, then turn around and try to train it to do the oppasite...let alone by ANOTHER person!! DUH!! wake up people! i won't give you another cent NOW!!! |

... Think it was very wrong for Carol to keep David from Flora , was very intresting in what she was doing , but now think she is mean to keep them apart , she handled it all wrong , David and Flora , both suffered because of her ! |
