We're delighted to announce that the Laemmle Music Hall theater has extended our run another week, through Thursday, July 7 (buy tickets here). Showtimes this holiday weekend are:

Sat/Sun/Mon (July 2-4): 2:50 matinee screenings ; 8pm (& 10pm Saturday night)

Sunday July 3 - Thursday July 7: 8pm nightly. Our film team will continue Q&A's Saturday & Sunday after the 8pm screenings. Stay tuned for an announcement of special guest...

One Lucky Elephant opens in NYC & LA

We opened at Manhattan's venerable Film Forum June 8, and the film plays six times a day through June 21! We were honored to have top elephant authority and advocate Iain Douglas Hamilton of Save the Elephants, and Joshua Ginsburg of the Wildlife Conservation Society, to answer questions after our premiere's Q&A.

We are thrilled to report that One Lucky Elephant will air on Oprah Winfrey's new network, OWN, as part of their monthly documentary film club, which will debut in spring of next year. Wheeee! OWN will debut on January 1, 2011 in approximately 80 million homes on what is currently the Discovery Health Channel. This week we head to the Denver & St. Louis Film Festivals to screen the film. Our entire team will be at this Friday night's screening in Denver, and then we split up - Jordana will stay in Denver for the other two screenings, while Lisa, Cristina, and Miriam fly to St. Louis for the Saturday night screening.

It was great to see everyone that turned out at our fundraiser, especially on a drizzly LA night! The money raised will go toward getting the film to IDFA, the mother of all doc film festivals. We've got our screening dates now, so spread the word!

In November, we'll be packing our trunks (yuk yuk) as we head off to screenings at the Denver Film Festival, St Louis International Film Festival, and IDFA, the International Documentary Festival of Amsterdam, the mother of doc festivals around the world.
